Our puppie get already an early education from us which means that you have it easier to life with him or her in harmonie. To train him or her to listen to you, you should use a dog exercise ground, it might be the best investment of time and money for you and your dog. But all in all just love him and do not expect any more of puppies than you would of a new human baby. He will grow up soon enough, don´t try to force him. Enjoy having a puppy for the time he is a puppy. Mastiffs are not small for long.
Do rember that he will be a puppy for at least two years! By age two he will probably have most or all of his height, but not all of the weight he is destined to have. Do not expect him to act like an adult at age two. He is growing, learning and will still frolic and play. He will continue to mature and gain weight until he is three ot three and a half years old. By age three he will settle into himself emotionally and physically, his chest will drop into it's brisket and he will become awesome. So take good care of your friend and I promise that he will take wonderful care of you!
